The USB slave lead allows the user to connect to third-party USB host-equipped devices, such as personal computers (PCs). The PC may communicate with the radio, using it as a packet data modem, or, via a despatcher programme, use AT commands to set up voice calls or send and receive status/SDS messaging. The lead also allows a PC running Radio Manager 2 to programme the connected radio.
